Okay, i was running my 1998 Speedster today and oil light came on so i went to the dock to check if we have enough oil in tank and on our way back the boat was hard to get out of water and was jumping on calm water so at the dock i notice there was more water than usual in engine compartment, so ive let it drain with bilge pump and went for a test drive and within 5-10 minute the boat was harder to take out of water and was jumping like crazy so ive decide to take it back to dock. On way back it was beeping overheating and really full of water when i open lid way too much. Does anybody have a idea of what it could be can a broke water hose fill the hull and cause overheating. Also notice bilge pump didnt trow water but it run so maybe its clog too.

Yes, a broken or cracked hose can cause overheating and fill your bildge with water. Also the exhaust seals as well (at they are water cooled).

With the engine compartment open do you see water leaking with the engine running?

ive found under the tune pipe there a hole due to rust and water coming a lot from there can that cause overheating also it right under the tune pipe

Yep that is your problem. Might as well take them both off and inspect them good. Take them to a local weld shop and they can get you fixed up fairly cheap. Or do it yourself. Clean them up good with a wire wheel and patch em up with JBweld.

i will patch them up with JB weld but do i need to remove them or can i work right where they are cause there no dealer around here to get the gasket and dont want to wait a week or two for gasket to get here

Sure you can try it that way. I just think you will have better results if you take it off and do it.

Thank very much this community is incredible

Thumb up to all of you here who s always ready to help other member

I have used JB in the past, it is OK for a temp fix.. Mine lasted a few months before I neded to make a permenate repair.. You will need to really clean the area well with a wire brush, the problem may be the metal plugs in the pipes. if they are really bad even the JB won't work well.. Welding in new plugs works the best..

Pipe fix with JB weld (water weld) will try it later this week to make sure there s no other hidden leak but on hose everything look perfect hoppefully it will be becaue they suppose to have nice weather this week
