Hey all, hoping for some help here. I have a 2014 RXTX260. Have had no problems until today. Stopped to jump in the water and got NOTHING when I tried to fire it up again. No instrument cluster, no nothing. Messed with the battery cables(minimal corrosion) and tightened. Got juice again and it fired up no problem and no signs of working hard to do it, Cool. Got cruising at approx. 40mph and 1/4 mile distance, then lost ALL power. Dead in the water. Gauges stuck at mph and rpm. Never able to get juice again. Got towed in and drove an hour home. I looked for loose wires and cleaned terminals. Still no juice to gauge cluster. Tinkered some more, then it fired right up, no problem. I shut it down and it wouldn't restart. 5 min later it started again. Shut it down again, wouldn't restart. Anyone have this issue or does this make sense at all?
Thanks in advance for any help.

It sounds like a loose connection. I would check all fuses. I would check all electrical connections, clean, tighten, then dab some dielectric grease over exposed contacts. I would also open all electrical harnesses, clean with CDC Contact Cleaner, then add some dielectric grease to seal/resist water intrusion and corrosion.

I believe that to rule out a key problem, you could hold the start button for around 10 seconds, without the key, and see if you get anything to display on the instrument cluster.
