Fuel Selector valve

Where is a good place to buy a replacement fuel selector? I recently bought one from OSD and it is junk. They sell two different ones; one is OEM, the other is their brand. I bought theirs because it was less expensive and guess I should have bought the OEM one. Live and learn. Anyone else have similar experience?

Give OSD a call first. He has good quality parts and stands behind what he sells. I would give him a chance to make it right.

All other aftermarket selectors are crap. The OEM ones are only about $25 so I would just go with that the next time.

Thanks Miki. That's really good to know. I should have just bought the better one (OEM) instead of trying to go on the cheap. I have emailed him and he responded that there may be dirt in the valve, which I have checked twice and there isn't I asked if he would be willing to exchange the one I got for the OEM one and I'll pay the difference. Waiting to hear back. Thanks again for your advice.

So can I test the one I already purchased before I return it to see if it is good. Can I just blow air through it to see if it switches properly? What fails on the cheaper ones?

Half the time they suck air around the shaft. So blowing through it will not give you all the answers you are after.

Honestly you will chase an air leak all summer. Just bite the bullet and buy an OEM one and enjoy your ski.

Just FYI, OSD is exchanging the bad fuel selector for the OEM one. Thanks again Miki, you were right, he is a straight up guy

ya, had my bad run of SBT brand as well, I don't order them anymore, back a couple of years ago they worked great, probably changed to a cheaper supplier and now they are a 50/50 toss up.

Stick with oem new or good clean used and you will avoid hassles.
