Hello all, this is my first post and i obvioulsy have a question for you experts out there, i recently bought a 1998 seadoo challenger 1800 and the fuel gauge doesnt work, (showing empty) i pulled the sender out soldered the f1 fuse and put a inline 250ma fuse but now my gauge is always just showing full... any ideas????

To eliminate the sender as the root cause, disconnecting the sender should cause the gauge to return to "E" Jumping the two harness wires together should cause the gauge to read "F"

IMO, there's no need to install a fuse anywhere in the sender circuit, just jump the defective (and retarded idea) chip fuse with solder and wire as necessary.

It's rare to see any fuses in any boat that are installed in this way, we never had them before and not so many problems with fuel sender gauges either.
