Fuel filling problems

Just curious if anyone else is having problems when filling their Seadoo with fuel? Every time I fill up our new 08 Islandia the damn thing ends up spewing fuel out of the filler all over myself and down the side of the boat. It does this before the tank is even full. The vent doesn't seem to be blocked because I can hear/feel it venting as the tank is filling.

Any ideas what could be causing this? I never had any issues filling our old Sportster 1800.

Thanks

Same problem on my 08' Challenger, dealership couldn't figure the issue out.

Same issue on my '07 Challenger. Got a foam ball with a hole in the middle at marina. Slips over the nozzle and plugs the filler hole. Works well.

Mine fills fine but will spill before the nozzle kicks off. But I've learned to listen to the sounds and recognize when it's nearly full.

I suspect you have a pretty fast pump. When you get to the point where it starts to gurgle, try reducing the flow to about 1/2 and see if that helps.

I have to run mine on half otherwise it will spew out no matter what. I took a look at the fuel tank on ours and I have to say it is a pretty bad design. The filler hose and the vent hose enter the tank at the exact same place. Both being on the top edge of the tank so it is no wonder the tank doesn't vent well.
