1995 Speedster twin 85's.
Great time this weekend. Wife is concerned with how much fuel it used.
Apparently, it uses about 6 gallon per hour with average running conditions.
Does that sound about right?

Mine is rated at 25 gallons per hour at wide open throttle... meaning I can kill an entire 40 gallon tank in an hour and a half if i'm going max speed. I have the twin 110hp engines (787)

But if i don't go full throttle all the time (and we stop for lunch and dinner), i can get a full day out of one tank

6 galllons per hour doesn't sound bad

The ratings are the worst possible it could get...at fuel throttle. It will get better economy running at less than full speed all the time.

Power and Usage

I believe the 95 has 80 HP engines, not a big matter
Two strokes waste a lot of fuel for cooling purposes and because they are carbureted. You can drastically reduce consumption by keeping RPM low and accelerating slowly rather than stomping on it, so to speak.

Great boats, I had mine from 1995 to 2010 still running strong on original engines
