I have a 1995 SeaDoo GTX and when my Fuel Valve is set to the ON position the engine idles just fine but when it accelerates it cuts out at about 30 Mph. The engine just dies.

Then I turn the Fuel Valve to RESERVE and it works just fine. I just got done taking the fuel tank out about 3 weeks ago and replaced all of the fuel lines.

Any ideas what's causing this to happen? Any/all ideas are greatly appreciated.

It worked correctly after switching the lines correct? If it did, then i would go with the fuel selector is clogged with trash, or oring broke down inside, remove the fuel selector and spray compresse air into orfices, checking for flow back out. If it feels week, remove the core and check the oring, i just replaced mine while i had it out. good luck, ill check back see how you made out

if you replaced all the lines then you def need to remove that fuel selector and clean it. Working in reserve and not "on" is a sure sign. It gets gummed up from those old lines and is often overlooked. Take the half our to remove it and clean it thouroughly. Should solve your problem

Good luck...

Thank you all for your replies.

I just got done a few weeks ago taking everything out of the hull but the engine. I replaced all the fuel lines and I thoroughly cleaned and tested the switch, gas tank and baffle pick up.

At this time I'm thinking it's the Baffle Pick Up. Does anyone know how to test the pick up with out having to take everything apart again?
