Without having back pressure after adding the free flow kit. does that mean water could be sucked into the head through the exhaust during a hard deceleration?
The exhaust manifold water jacket is a closed system. By definition of a jacket it keeps water out of the exhaust valves unless it is leaking. Water circulates within the exhaust manifold itself to keep it cool.
