flushing

i have a 1999 gti with a 717.

when i flush the motor with out the motor running, how does the water get into the cylinders ?

Water injection...

Your exhaust system is cooled by water injection. The exhaust gas pressure from a running engine, forces that water out. If you do not run the motor while flushing, there is nothing to push that exhaust cooling water out, so you'll eventually fill your exyhaust and then, dump it into the engine........
