First time out this year and having performance issues

Hi guys/peeps. I took mine out for the first time this year and I am having what I think is cavitation.

I have 46 hours and had a new wear ring installed at the beginning of last season. But now this year it just won't push out of the hole and takes quite some time to plane out. Once I get it on plane I can hit like 51 by myself which is obviously low.

So I need to debug this problem. Also I had some bad gas so initially it was stuttering but after a while she seemed to get over this problem.

I am guessing since the wear ring is new that it has to be the impeller or really I don't know what.

I can get a feeler gauge and check the clearance tomorrow but what do you guys think?

Impeller or something else in the pump system?

Oh sorry 155sE. I guess I should just order a new seal ring and impeller. Any suggestion on the impeller? A Skat Trax? I had a Solas on my older Waveventure but what pitch would be good for this ski? I would probably rather have more push out of the hole so it's overall more fun than worry about total top speed.

Before you order parts you need to pull the pump out and take a look in there. It could be just something wrapped up in there. Doesn't take much to kill performance.

Yep I hear ya. I was gonna go pull things, inspect and get a feeler gauge and check the clearance. For sure I don't want to order any parts that I don't need. I don't want to jus throw money at it because funds are tight so I am looking for the wisdom of the seadoo forums :) Parts I don't need to replace cut right into my beer money.

Once you have it apart take some pictures and post them. We'll be able to help you diagnose it better that way

Cool. Thanks for the help!!! Only problem is it will be 100 degrees tomorrow so the garage will be nice and toasty. Air doesn't move around much so 2 minutes into it sweat will be running into my eyes. :O And I am not up on removing the parts so this will be fun.
