Finger throttle conversion question

I am going to be converting my 99 gsx to finger throttle and was wondering if there were currently any products out there to replace the original thumb throttle housing and cap off the bar trim? I was thinking about molding something out of kydex but don't want to waste my time if there is something already made for this. Thanks.

you can make one by taking apart the current throttle and cutting it down.

Suke, thought about doing that but I am anal and would spend hours filling, smoothing and painting it after I cut it down lol. Found a billet one (thanks spx!) that I'll be going with. Thanks guys.

You would be correct! I wanted to see if I'd like it. Wife has a bike she never uses on the road (has it hooked up to a trainer) so I got to thinking one night. Took it off and it fit perfect! I have now shaved it down. It actually looks pretty dang good, and I kept all the stock stuff intact so I can go back anytime. I hated the thumb throttle after growing up on yammies.

I always found the thumb throttle to be acceptable coming from a snowmobile background and never gave it much thought. Then we got the spark and after riding it a few times, it just felt so much better and I was determined to convert mine lol.

I used a brake lever for my drop trim. I'd use it for a throttle too before spending 40+ on a billet one with a stock system.
