Explorer Pro Glove Box Door removal?

Hello everyone,

I’m new here, so nice to meet everyone. I picked up a brand new 2025 Explorer Pro 230 and LOVE it so far! The only problem I’ve really had is when I removed the godawful orange and white stickers from the glove box door, then stupidly used goof off to remove the COPIOUS amounts of sticker residue (thanks Sea Doo), it ruined the finish on the glove box door. Definitely should not have used goof off…

I ordered a new door (only about $65), but now have to figure out how to remove it. Anyone have an easy guide to taking that puppy off?

Not sure if it's the same as the GTI, but here's the procedure for the GTI
Open glove box
Remove retainer using long nose pliers
Slide cover sideways 1/4 inch
Pull glove box cover upwards to release console hinge

Damn. Not the same design as far as I can tell.

If I can figure out how to upload a video, I'll post it. Looks like the hinge mechanism disappears up into the cowling somehow.

I even tried picking up the "service manual" from one of the online sites that sells it, but it's only partial, and doesn't indicate how to remove the various body panels to get to where this is mounted. Very frustrating!
