Exhaust flush

I accidently shut off engine then turned off water. i turned engine back on for a moment . then i used boat on lake 2 days after and did not seem to have any issues.

I wonder if you if you do it for a long time what would happen?

possible, ur engine wont start, and with water still flow'n, it'll fill up the exhaust, which then, back fills into your cylinders.

I had left the water on too long once and the water backed up into cylinder #1. Took 4 oil changes to get all of the oil out of the engine. Real PIA!

what is the best way to check if i have water in my cylinders.
and if i do, how do i change oil in my 787's?
i ran the boat for about 3 hours after i did that and seems fine , but i just want to be safe.

In a 2 stroke if it fires up, your good to go. In a 4-tec the water can get into the crankcase and cause major problems.

If you get water in a 2 stroke from a upside down experience for example, its best to get it running right away to get any water out of the engine before it starts corroding the internals of the engine...You'll be fine.
