Engine swap ?

Quick question, I’ve got a Seadoo Gti ( 1995 ? ) sitting around, it’s trash, but the engine looks to be in good shape, it’s a 718cc 2 stroke rotax. I’ve saw there is a 1996 GTX for sale locally it’s in good shape, but owner says motor has gone bad. The gtx has 782cc engine, but they look very similar with the 718 cc. Is it possible to do engine swap on them and keep all the other parts on gtx and get it to run ?

Is it possible? Sure. It would not be a simple swap though, and you’d be down 25HP from stock with more time and money in it than it’s worth in my opinion. All of the electronics are different between the two motors, and I believe the mounts are in different locations, so you’d have to glass in new mounting points as well. That’s a lot of work to be down on power!

Jeremy is correct, the 787 and 720 aren't even close to being the same or mounting the same.
