It’s not a difficult swap between the 657X and the 720, but you need to pull the electronics from a 720 ski and swap those as well. The stators and flywheels are different, as well as the coil setup.
Keep in mind though, there is only a 5hp difference between the 667X and the 720, and that is probably a difference in rating more than actual output... The only real benefit to doing this swap is in the aftermarket parts availability for the 717. If you aren’t planning to mod it, I’d probably just put another 657X back in it.
