Engine swap 95 XP to 95 GTX???

I have a 95 GTX that i got form an anal retentive relative that looks like new. The engine in the GTX is locked up. I have a 95 XP that has low hours but was stored outside for close to 12 years by the previous owner. It looks like hell but runs great. The XP is just too small for me and I'd like to swap the 717 in the XP into the GTX in place of the 650. Is this a direct swap or am I opening a can of worms?

You will have much better luck with this question in the PWC section of the forum, but I know it’s not a direct swap. It’s very doable, and the motors are similar, but there are at the very least some electrical issues that you would have to deal with.
