ok great. thanks for the info on the fuel gauge.. but i am gonna take a look at the ski now about the fuel line clamp being in the way.. hopefully that is the issue, i guess we'll find out.. anybody know which carb i should be looking at when im looking for the clamp issue? thanks

Mine was the mag side carb (front of ski). Towards the top by the exhaust manifold.

P.S. Just came in from my first round of breaking in. Did 30 min of max 20% throttle. Now letting the engine cool down then out for 30min of max 50% throttle.

So far so good. I may have a few drips of water coming in by the jet pump. Or I may have just dripped water in there. I'll have to keep an eye on it. Otherwise no problems.

ok i got out today for a little test and tune run, and so far so good, i do have a couple issues i thought i would throw out there.. i got out, ran 20% throttle for 20 or so, then went to 50% for a while, then i was getting into the throttle here and there.. it just seems kinda sluggish.. it was cruising pretty good around 55mph but im not sure how fast this thing is supposed to go? then i touched full throttle and it died.. coasted to a stop and sat for a minute.. then fired back up and ran fine.. it was low on oil, the light was on.. is their a sensor or something that will kill the engine if it gets too low or something?.. then before i called it a night, i whipped a donut and tossed myself off the ski.. now it wont fire back on both cylinders.. was just banging on one.. im thinking maybe the plug fouled out? not sure though.. like when i replaced the engine i never touched the carbs, and this ski was sitting on the shore for three years.. summer and winter, no cover or anything.. someone told me to toss some seafoam into the gas and it should clear up the carb issues im having maybe? like from no throttle to full throttle it would bog down instead of the instant get up and go, i would have to gradually ease into the throttle for it to run nice and smooth... any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

their was a small amount of gas in the bottom of the tank, maybe a gallon or so.. it was about a year old, i didnt empty that out.. then i tossed in 5 gallons of premium and some carb clean.. when i did the donut i thought maybe i had sloshed the gas around.. but this was after like an hour of riding this happend..

so this is the problem i am having currently, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction... so i took the ski out on the lake and it felt sluggish, i couldnt go from idle to full throttle as it would bog down... it stalled on me one at full throttle, ski was low on oil but i dont know if it has some type of safety shut down.. after it stalled it was hard to start, like it didnt wanna crank over, after a minute though it did and ran fine.. i didnt beat on the ski the whole time until near the end when i whipped a donut and it only ran on one cylinder after that, heard it backfire as well.. this ski had sat for a few years on the shore with crap gas in it, i replaced the engine but didnt touch the carbs, so i am automatically assuming they need to be cleaned? but do they need to be rebuilt? other than that the trim doesnt work and the gas gauge isnt working.. help!>!
