Engine compartment taking on water

Hi all. First post here. 2003 Seadoo limited. Taking alot of water in engine compartment while moving in the water. Doesnt take any at all while idling or running in gear on the trailer while in the water... Haven had it too long but was running fine until recently. Suggestions?

Usually the carbon ring,,,remove the seat,,,remove the seat post/holder,,,slowly back it into the water,,,on the trailor secured,,look for leaks at the ring,,,
