The Aurora was dancing that night. We watched it for hours and got the full color show, most of the time it's only green.
I put the XP in on the river and was only able to ride 3/4 of a mile upstream and came across the ice jamb in the picture (drone shot). Could ride 6 miles downstream until I came up to the solid ice still spanning the width. It was in an area with no one around and no way out if the machine quit, silty fast moving water that would suck you under the ice in a heartbeat.
The ice jamb is almost gone so ride time is back on for the weekend.
