Does anyone have a double stack trailer? I see a few that tow a boat on the bottom and a Ski above the boat. Does anyone know where I can get a trailer like that. I have a 03 Sportster and a 98 GTI, I would like to get to the lake together.:bigear:

I have seen a member here that had the ski trailer behind the boat trailer. Like a tandem trailer deal.

Very time I go to the lake I can one take one or the other. This weekend I saw this trailer, that had the ski above the boat. This way you can have both your tys in the water.

I've seen 'em too

Now this is the coolest thing that I have ever seen. :drool5: I have not see anything like this on the road or at the lake. Makes me want to buy a couple more toys!

take your boat trailer to fab shop and tell them what you want...they'll draw up a few ideas and see what you like....moding your current trailer will for sure be cheaper than buying a new one....but it can be done

I'm considering putting my ski in dept of my boat sideways on the tongue. I think if I slide my boat back on the trailer it will work like a lever and keep tongue weight down. I'll create a build thread when I start.

How in the world are they launching skis off the upper deck on that trailer. I've seen a few online but I havent seen a ramp deep enough. They must lower some how? Any one know how to.launch those with out launching your truck as well.

Good question. Even with the ski on the front it seems like it would be kind of hard. With my boat, there are times my truck is so far in the water im using 4wd to get back out, and the tongue is still out of the water. How far will you have to back in?

Well I'm hoping not that far. My boat is only 18 feet and on a roller trailer so it doesn't need any water to launch. I keep my bearings dry if at all possible. With the ski I will jave to back way in with the rig. The trailer is for a 19 to 20 foot boat so hopefully i willhave a long tongue to put it in tje water. I'm considering doing rollers for the ski so it can drive or winch on in less water. Or ill have to fab a hinge of some sort to tilt it in tje water.

Build one

I had same problem when i pulled boat to river I wanted to play on skis, when I pulled skis wanted to have boat there for late night cruise. so I built tandem trailer. Now I live on river and don't need trailer anymore if interested?

I believe the top ramp is on a hydrolic system that lowers the top to the bottom, so that you dont launch your truck too:)
