Does it matter where the pulse is located?

finally finishing up the install of my Fox Vally Powersports 717. When I went to put the pulse line on....it was in the wrong place. My orginal had it on the pto side, this one is on the front cylinder. My guess is it doesn’t matter....because it runs

Doesn't matter as long as the fitting is tied into the case below a piston where the pressures inside the motor will run the pump.
