Difficult to start

I have a 99 see doo GSX and once in the water it becomes difficult to start. When running it sometimes stalls and restart must be done by depressing the throttle, removing the safety lanyard and reattaching it, and pressing the start button while releasing the throttle. If the starter turns long enough, it will start. Starting w/o touching the throttle is useless after the first start. I charge the battery after each run. Could it be that the idle needs turned up? If so, how do I do it? Thanks for any info provided.

idle should be at 3000 out of water and 1500 in water
idle screw is at front carb, a t shaped screw , gonna have to look for it
if it stalls you should not have to re-install lanyard ,unless you are having a electrical issuses or a dess post issuse
boat could be running rich due to deformed carb diaphrams or other carb issuses or low on compression
check your compression 150 psi, set your idle, and see how it goes
check your battery voltage too while running engine at about 4000 rpm
should be about 14 volts
good luck and let us know
