hello everyone...i'm having a prob with my 99speedster not starting..it cranks as if there's nothing wrong..but does not start..

here's what happened before it was broke..

I submarined it and almost sunk the damn thing...after the move..i went to pull away..and it nose dived again and started sinking..i threw it in reverse and it BARELY pulled itself back out of the water....nursed it towards the beach and it died...i tried a few times to start it..it started back up..and then died..
next few starts i noticed were getting "rougher" (water filling cylinders) so i stopped cranking it. we pulled it up onto the trailer and and took her home..i pulled the plugs cranked it over till all water seemed to be out(which was quite a bit of water) and then replaced with new plugs..it tried to start a few times but never actually started.. now all i get is start mode..no "almost" starting or nothing...i can smell fuel..so im sure it's getting fuel..it either sounds like no spark or like there's a fuse that may have blown..im leaning towards a fuse..cause it did atleast "almost" start at one time..
also..
when this happened the engine compartment had water up to and prolly over the valve covers at one time..(i know..i'm a dumbass) and now my speakers (even when radio is off) makes a buzzing noise..well it use to..on this last try of starting the boat it made no noise..im wondering what everyones thoughts on where the problem could be..

thanks in advance for all and any help

Daryl

Check if you have spark. Take out a spark plug wire and ground it with a screwdriver. Ask some one to crank it for you and see if you have a spark. Also make sure all the water is out of that motor or it will die. Is not a bad idea to try to fog the motor. You have to get it started asap. Did you check the fuses inside the MPEM for water or blown fuses?

was gonna check for spark but got called in...spark will be the first thing i check and then will look for fuses..im suprised no one else has done this.. i kow im not gonna submarine mine anymore!

bet ur still fouling plugs. Let it air dry some, then fire it up. Also, check the electrical boxes on sides of motors. Probably incased with water too.

I remember I had a Bayliner jazz back in the day man that boat was bulletproof. I wish I would have never sold it, I could fill the whole boat with water and it would never sink and after you bilged out the water you could just do it again.

P.S. Try not to submarine your boat.
