Sucked in some gravel last two weeks ago but got it all out. Impeller and ring look like new, only 50 hours on my ski. I thought it was not at full speed but it tops out at 7500 RPM like it always did. So I raced my kid on his 95 XP and we were about tied. I timed his using my GPS before and it was at 50 MPR. Never timed mine but it was a little faster. It could have been the conditions or his was running a little better but I don't think so.
Mine sounds fine, no vibration and looks good inside the shoot.

You may not loose the top speed, when your ski race with another ski in the race water, your top speed is slower than the normal by a few mph.

Huh? That makes zero sense.
Oh, really? I have been racing RC gas powered model sport hydro for a long time, if no other boats racing with me, my boat would run 75 mph for the top speed on the straight way, but if it raced with other 4-5 boats in the race water, it only got about high 60 mph during the race, so can you tell me what made my boat loosed that 5-7 mph of top speed?

Right, it's because surface tension is increased in inverse proportion to the square of the distance between the boat keels.
