I have an RX DI that is rapidly losing fuel pressure once running. It has enough pressure only when cranking, and as soon as it fires up and I let off the button, then ski drops back down to too low of fuel pressure to keep the ski running. It will only run for about a second.

I have a brand new HFP-500DI-X pump installed which easily gets to the 107psi needed to get the ski running when I do crank it over, so I know my issue is not a weak fuel pump. I'm thinking my issue is with the "Sliding Seal", allowing my pressure to escape at that joint rather than feeding to my fuel lines. Has anyone essentially deleted this sliding seal/spring combo and gone to a rigid style pump and housing?
