Hey, so I have been having some serious problems with my sea doo. I had it rebuilt from some guy, and than stripped the drive shaft, he said he fixed it but he didnt.
I was just wondering if anyone have some tips on getting the circlip/top hat thing that rests against the carbon seal off? I have it exposed, just cant get the little top hat off, i know the circlip is under it but i dunno what i need to do now?

Push the bellows assembly, including carbon ring and stainless steel collar toward the rear of the ski, take a small screwdriver or better yet a curved pick and pull the clip off the drive shaft, the assembly should then just slide out the rear of the ski. If the drive shaft is stuck in the PTO you may need to loosen or remove the zerk fitting. Here's a how-to:

Perfect, I just got it off and the shaft out.
So here are my problems, I am having alot of problems taking off.
Once I get plained out and ontop of the water, it works good. Still goes fast and hits about 7000 rpms. (was a freshly rebuilt motor from some guy) I think I remember getting to 8000 before the rebuild but that was last year so I might be wrong.

I also had a bad water leak, but I just got the carbon seal off, and its a bit chipped and there was a little hole in the boot.

The last time I was out, I was kicking around everything was good (other than not being able to take off. I had to throttle 2-3000 rpms, if I gave it more it would still spin to 6000 and would scream but I wouldnt move at all) after about 30 mins, I lost almost all my power, could barely move I just let go of the throttle and coasted in... Maybe because of the water in the engine bay? It had about as much water iun the bottom where it was as high as the drive shaft.

Does anyone know why I might not be taking off? Wear ring maybe?
I think I know the water leak issue and will be fixing tomorrow ;p

Not sure as to what else I might need tho
