I have a 1997 SeaDoo Challenger and am installing a thru-hull transducer. Looks like the easiest location to drill (2" hole) and install the transducer would be mid-section on the flat area. It's the only easy access I can find and it's close to the circuit panel and dash.
Has anyone ever done this? The flat center section on the bottom of the boat does not appear any thicker than the sides. I know this isn't a good location if you are epoxying the transducer down, but does it matter if you're goind thru-hull?
Much thanks to anyone with some advice.
