I just bought a 2008 Speedster 200 with abut 25 hours on it and am looking forward to using it (a lot!).

I am having a local Sea Doo dealer install a bimini top and I inquired about getting a depth finder installed in the blank spot in the dash. They baisically said that they could not even price it out for me because Sea Doo does not make one & they couldn't promise that they could get the electronics on the boat to accept one... That surprised me, I would think it would be pretty easy to do... Any thoughts or recommendations???:grouphug:

OP, there is an easy 2" aftermarket depth finder that fits right into the vacant lower left gauge location on the S200. Either the Hawkeye or Hummingbird versions have worked well for members. No cutting into helm or hull needed.

Do a search here for depth finders, great directions and advice. See Kustom Karl's thread and also check out the self help website for Hawkeye.

IMO, one of the best upgrades you can do functionally.
