Cylinder fitment question

i have a 1996 GSX that i am restoring . Water in the engine and it's rusted completely. Just got it broken loose yesterday after 2 days of penetrating oil and two stroke oil sneakily into the crank case. Impact wrench to the rescue, but the cylinders are done.

I have a local guy listing a 1999 SPX cylinders in great shape for a good price and they are 82mm. Is the fitment the same to the case? If i search the parts i need to compatibly engines it only lists a 787 engine between the years of 1996 and 1997.

Crossing my fingers that these will fit as they come with the RAVE valves too as a bonus.

If there was water in it the crank and balancer are shot also.
Yes, the 1999 SPX is the same engine as your 1996 GSX.

Okay thank you. Yes. Bottom end is gone as well. Not sure why Seadoo would only list the 96-97 and not as 96-99 carbed 787 as compatible cylinder through those years. Maybe just a different casting number…..
