Alrighty, so I have been very busy since I've taken my motors out of the boat. all parts are in and I have picked up where I left off. I have cracked the case, and more milk poured out of it. I am happy that I decided to crack it.

My question/problem:

1. One motor the Mag flywheel will not pop off easily. (I have the special tool, and the first Mag Flywheel came off no prob.) Is there anything I should do to it, in order not to damage anything?...or what?

2. The other motor has been cracked open, but it seems that the PTO side of the crankshaft is stuck. There is a "retaining shim" between the PTO flywheel and the PTO seal that is the problem. I don't want to pry since this is my first rebuild of this type motor. Whats the secret???

Thanks alot guys!!!

Guess there aren't that many that have ventured this far into their 787s. Ohh well no harm in asking.

Read the whole story by Snipe, he has great photo of the whole thing coming apart, you can see the tools in action.

I read it, but a ring is stuck keeping me from removing the shaft. I don't want to damage it, so I was asking if there is some trick or if I am being a total pu$...

...but thanks for thinking of snipes korner, his posts are very helpful.
