Hey Guys,

Ok so I have a 95' xp and it has a crank seal leak. Oil comes out the exhaust. My question is, will it burn off eventually or no? The ski runs really good. So will it burn off or do I need to drain some of the oil? I plan on putting a small ball valve for the winter storage. So it basically just needs to bathe in the oil correct? So if I can get enough oil out ( drain it out through the oil line ) will it stop leaking out the exhaust, or will it just keep filling up till the oil tank is empty? It sat in a garage since 2013. I replaced all the fuel lines, carbs cleaned and rebuilt, pump oil changed, etc...... I checked the compression and there was no oil that came out the plug holes, so its not filling up the cylinders. I know this is not a fix, but it has 145 psi and runs super strong, so I dont want to rebuild it yet till its that time.....Thanks for any help you guys might have :-)

Also make sure it has the correct API-TC oil. If it has the blue or green TWC oil it can make the seals leak too.

Hey Guys,

Ok ill Did run her for a few seconds after I got everything cleaned.... Ill check it out more this weekend.... Also the oil is red, not sure what brand it is.... I have a few gallons of seadoo xp synthetic oil, might switch it out. Is the seadoo oil red or can any oil brand also be red? Thanks for the input guys :-)
