Hello,
My CPS on my 99 GSX RFI is slightly high out of spec. It measures 953 ohms at the AMP connector. I also checked it at the CPS plug itself and it was also 953 ohms. The manual says 774 and 946 when outdoor temp is above 20 degrees celcius (it was 24 degrees at the time). If I go by the manual, I need to replace the CPS.
Back-story, I've been fighting gremlins with my RFI for years, with starting issues, fouling plugs, and unable to idle for more than 1-2 minutes (begins to drop very slowly until it can't maintain it and wants to die). I did see a code on my CandooPro the last time out that said P0336 error "OCCURED", which I think was CPS sync error. So it happened at least once but was not present all the time.
Based on the measurement, would you change the CPS?
