Alright well the other day after getting off the water from a long ride, I did my post ride inspection and then started washing my ski (06 gti). As I look under the bottom it seems that I have a chip in it. Now I never did feel myself or see anything that I could have hit, but I guess I did. So anyways it is not on the keel, its about 7 inches away from center and behind a rib line and its about as big as a dime. The outer white part is gone. What is my best course to fix this? I just don't wont it to weaken any of the other stuff around it.

Since I am doing this I am gone to take the time to do another full detail on my ski. What would be the best wax to use on this? I have no oxidation, it has been garage kept and washed after every ride so its real clean, but I would just like to get some good protection on the gelcoat.

Last question. As I was doing my inspection I noticed on the very back at the ride plate there are a couple screws that hold it together so to speak right under the jet/nozzle. Well on the two end screws/bolts there is this like rubber bushing with a screw or bolt that goes through it. Well I seem to be missing the one on the left, because I am sure there was probably one there. How important is this part to get right away...makes me wonder since it has a bushing? And I am sure my dealer doesn't have that stocked or much less anything else.

Sorry for the long post....Thanks.

Quick and easy

i would for the scrach get your self some gel coat touch up. And as for the rest of the craft get some gel coat wax usually in the boating asile of walmart or fishing /boat supply store.

Thanks for the reply. I will definitely get the gel coat touch up then. Yea I have seen the wax in walmart many of times, I just didn't know how good it was for the gel coat. Thanks.

As for the bolt question I asked about. The more I have looked around on the internet and seen pictures, I am almost convinced there wasn't one there. Havn't been able to see it on any parts diagram or anything. So maybe there was just one on the far right side.
