complete build

I know this is quite a naive question guys but I am very new to working on or even owning and maintaining a PWC, so dont hold it against me, ha. I am going to do a complete build from JUST having a hull of an XP. Can anyone give me a somewhat complete list or parts, etc. of everything I will need to complete this build.

Wow... the list would be so long. I KNOW I wont get it all but here goes.

-engine
-carbs
-fuel tank
-oil tank-
-oil/fuel line
-Ignition box
-Computer
-All wire
-water lines

And that list is the big stuff. If you need a jet pump or a rebuild.

I can't imagine what this will cost. Wow... keep us updated on the progress. I'm interested in the final product... and cost.

Thanks man. Do you think a new 4stroke would fit in the XP hull? I want to use this bc it is hard it seems to find the mods to make an XP go faster at take off and top end. Thanks.

Hmm... I've never seen how a 4-stroke mounts. I would think since the engine is so much bigger that you would have trouble getting it to hit the same mount points as the original engine. Typically, a 2-stroke engine has more power in a smaller area. If you are able to mount it in the hull, AND get it to line up with the jet pump, AND still be able to fit all of the other stuff you need... then, yes it would be a great ski.

I hate it when people say I can't do something. If you are willing to put in the work required to fit the engine then of course it is possible. However, I have to wonder if it is feasible. Also, you have to take in to consideration the physical size of the hull. Will a 4-stroke physically fit? I don't know.

Thats my dilemma, I can't find whole bunch of "go fast goodies" for the 951 or i just dont know where to look. Is there anyone who makes like a kit or anything with all the goodies in a package?

really?im sure there is for a 951 (heads,pipes,carbs,flame arrestors,magnum pump etc.),you can also try group k.

when i had my 951 I couldnt find squat for it as far as performance parts were concerened. I ended up selling it.

I guess I don't understand why you would want to upgrade a 951. The skis that have them are crazy fast already. My GTX DI does about 70. maybe a touch more. BUT thats just me. Good luck with the search

well maybe some really wants more power out of their 951's,but i would agree that the stock engine has enough power for rec. use.
