I found this thread from October, I don't know why it is closed. Anyway, I took my boat out a little while back for de-winterizing, and confirmed my suspicion that it runs a lot better in cold water than warm. I was worried that there was something wrong, last summer it seemed sluggish in the river, and a lot peppier in Lake Michigan. Away from shore, the water is probably 25 degrees cooler than it is in the river, maybe 55 vs. 80. This is very common in forced induction, intercooled engines. My truck is supercharged and intercooled, and there is a big difference between winter and summer.
Anybody else with supercharged boats notice the same thing?
