Hey guys, I am getting my jetski ready to put in the water. It’s a 2005 sea food gtx limited. I did an oil change and added coolant and put in last years battery. I took it out on the water it started then died right after. I tried to start it again and it wouldn’t turn over unless i held full throttle. I got code p0562. I found that it was low voltage and put in a new battery but the same thing kept happening. Any thought or idea on how to fix it? Thanks I’m advance.

I don’t know but is your battery charging if you put a new battery in and it worked than tried starting it again sounds like a charging issue but not really sure

I bought it from auto zone. It is a duralast gold, the directions say no need to charge it. I tested it with a multimeter, which said 12.7 volts, and when running, it was around mid-11s. I looked into reviews on the battery, and many of them still said that I needed to charge it before use. So I charged it for a couple of hours and put it back in. I ran it and the idle problem seemed to be gone and the engine seemed to sound a lot better. The problem now is it blinks sensor 3 times and the code still shows up. I was in a hurry and didn't see what the voltage was after the charge. I will do that tomorrow.

12.7v out of ski is in the ballpark, however SkiAsylum s correct, 11v running in the ski is way too low. Inorder for the ski to keep the battery charged it has to supply a higher voltage, 13.5 is also in the ball park. Your on board charging is not working correctly. Check your car, same idea.

Just checked the voltage on the battery after charging it. Still 12.7 volts off and mid 11s when on. So what should I be trying to do or trying to check? What parts of the charging system should I be checking and how do I do that?

You need the shop manual, it will explain the system & how to check.
Available various places, google 2005 sea doo gtx limited manual
