Hello,
First, just want to say this forum is awesome and I've already found a multitude of information I will be using while looking for what i need.
I own a pair of the 2017 GTI SE 130's, about a month now and I am already looking into upgrades because these are too much fun!
However, this past weekend I have managed to do the rookie mistake of sucking up a portion of a tie down strap i didn't see submerged under water close to the anchor I had offshore in about 4 feet of water.
Luckily, I was able to kill the motor almost immediately and got it out of the water onto the trailer.
I'm looking for any helpful information on a possible easy to do method for myself to remove the debris and get back on the water this weekend. I would have taken it to the dealer i purchased these from but I feel what they want to charge me is a bit high, $350.00 was the quote to be exact.
After looking up parts and costs, wear ring etc., I will be hard pressed to pay as much as they ask no matter how much i trust them.
I know my way around a shop and I have personally built a few trucks, engines and street bike motors. So getting my hands dirty or tearing things down is not a problem.
These Skis are however my first PWC and I would rather not miss something and damage them just because I think i can handle it.
Thanks in advance and i look forward to anything pointing me in the right direction!
