changing spark plugs 2003 m2jet prop

They are near the back of the engine. Remove all the engine covers including the side panels and lean over the top of the engine. Now look for the plug wires and you'll find the plugs.
They're not a lot of fun to change, but they are doable. Also put your boat and engine in your profile like mine. If I knew what engine you had (200, 210, 240, or 250) I could tell you what plugs to use and the gap.

spark plug remover
I have a Mecury 240EFI M2 and two of the plugs are hard to get out without removing some other stuff so I bought this tool that works great for getting spark plugs out in tight spots: http://store.sdsportcycles.com/rachetsocket-sp-wrench-kit-1316q1316080318.html

Snap-on socket wrenches are too long to work. This wrench comes with a socket that the spark plug tip goes all the way through. The wrench is right up against the engine head and the spark plug tip passes thru the other end of the socket. Works great. Hope it's the right size for you plug.
