Hello all I have a 1997 GTX that the rectifier I believe needs to be changed. The new aftermarket ones they have available aren’t the same fit as the old ones, they were plug and play. I’m just wondering how I would connect the new ones as they are just male and female ends. Would I cut off the plug and play and crimp them? Thank you all in advance.

If you get the correct ones they should have the same connectors and wire colors. I just bought a few last year for spares.

It’s not the same one one is a plug and play the other is 4 separate wires. Would you have to cut the plug and play off and crimp it on? Where did you buy yours from?

See mine is different it’s the plug and play type so not sure how I would wire that to the existing one

That’s the one I’m looking for ,but it’s not the right one for my model but that’s the type of connection I have. ALSO I DONT NOT OWN THIS PHOTO OR THE PART NO COPYRIGHT INTENDED.

I am not sure what you are asking at this point?

The one I pictured for $18.99 is the correct one for a 1997 GTX. The one in your picture is for a much newer model and is not correct for a 1997 GTX. It appears you bought the wrong one, return it and get the correct one.
