I'm not a mechanic so you will have to bear with me here. Took the boat out today and it started out running fine. Great throttle response, on to plane quick and had no issues pulling a boarder. Cruised at low rev for a while and then went to leave.
Boat started to pull (up to about 3500 rpm) then seemed to slip out of forward and the revs would have gone through the roof if I hadn't let off. Tried again rolling on the throttle slowly this time and it seeemed to get to about 3500 and then something releases and the forward momentum stop and the revs shoot up. Coasted home at low idle. Any ideas?

Thanks.
