Cavitation help

Replaced wear ring and carbon ring kit resealed pump shoe still have cavitation out of the hole or with more than 1 person
And will only reach about 6000 rpms and about 45 mph wot
Please help

Not sure what ski you have but does yours have a neoprene seal that needs to be replaced? I put a new wear ring on a 1995 GTI and didn't replace the Neoprene seal. I took a chance as it looked pretty good. The ski has no problem with one person aboard but when we hook up a tube it cavitates. Live and learn. I hope that is my problem.

Did not replace neoprene seal maybe I should do that. I still don't know why it wont rev out like it should

I have a 96 and 97 GTX. You're right... sure should rev higher. Do you have the correct prop on there?
Also, I had an issue with the Water Control Valve on mine. Check to make sure it is working properly. That will screw up your top RPM for sure.
