carburetor throttle sticking 98 GTX

The throttle at the carburetor is sticking. I have tried spraying it with wd40 and pb blaster. Any Suggestions? Thanks

Do you mean the throttle lever is sticking or the cable? Sometimes the bushings on either side of the throttle lever need replacing.

It is sticking at the carburetor. I disconnected it (tool the nut of the top of the spring).
when I give it throttle it won't return.

With the cable linkage disconnected, and you open the throttle lever( butterfly) it wont return... You can try to lube the bushings on either side of the butterfly, but it sounds like you need to remove the Plate and replace the bushings on either side of the shaft.
