Carbon seal going bad?

Hello everyone. I was doing an oil change today on my gfs 2018 Seadoo GTI and I noticed a small thin black line going across the hull where the carbon seal is. Is this just normal wear or should I get it checked out to make sure the engine isnt out of ailment? The ski is still under warranty. Would the warranty cover this if so? Thanks

I guess I really don't see anything? The gray line is the "carbon" of the carbon seal.

So that's just normal wear? I never seen my 2015 GTR do that.

It looks like everything is covered in oil, could it be slinging off? THe carbon rings should not ahve any grease or oil on it.

The stuff your probably are referring too is fluid film. We ride in the salt every now in then.
