Carbon ring black mark

Hey folks I have an 2014 GTI 155 limited with 20hours and I just noticed the carbon ring left a black mark on the hull. Everything looks normal, no leaks or anything. is this normal or I need to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Normal but maybe excessive for the hours. Carbon ring is literally carbon just like the lead in a pencil. It will wear initially as it mates to the rotating ring. Did you happen to run it dry for a longer period? Running dry will wear it quicker.

I bought the ski with 11 hours on it from the dealer. Maybe the prior owner did cause the Mark was there. But good to know anyways. Thanks a lot.

fairly common, wouldn't worry about it unless it leaks
