So i have a 1994 seadoo gtx and when i was rebuilding the carbs, i ended up stripping the screw heads. So my question is, does anyone know where i can get them?
If not is it a bad idea to just put a slit in the top of the screw and use a flat head from now on. Thanks in advance.

I put a slit in the screw to get it out, then bought Metric M4 philips head fastener 14mm long from the autoparts store to replace, worked fine and they were stainless steel.

Does the threading on the screw have to be perfect because I've found screws that are very similar but I don't wanna risk stripping it and having to re-drill and thread it?

I'd only use ones that match up perfectly.
To be clear, the screws I'm talking about are the ones inside the carb that are sometimes difficult to get out.

I bought a packet of the screws through Amazon. Stainless Steel. They work well. The problem with stainless is that it is soft so don't screw them in too too tight. That said, they shouldn't have corrosion issues. I abhor paying the money some businesses charge for a couple of screws when you can buy a package for just a tad more. Good Luck !
