Hi all, I have 2 1996 GTI's I am in the process of partial rebuild. One was disassembled when I got it and the carb linkage is different from parts catalog listing pics I see on line and from the other, which came with carbs installed. One the one with them installed, and in agreement with parts catalog pics, there are round half round linkages that the cables connect. On the other, the aft carb (PTO I believe) there is only a bracket that the cable inserts into (it appears) no half round linkage for the cable. The Mag carb has the half round. Is this a mod or have these carbs been tampered with and I need get the proper linkage. See pics.

Think I've found the deal. The linkage is different on XP and GTI models and appears I have an XP set for boat #2. Can I use this setup from the XP on my GTI? If not, can the PTO be altered to link up like the GTI (same basic carb design / adaptable)?
