Can I use aftermarket bilge pump with factory sensor?

My bilge won't kick on with the switch and I'm pretty sure it doesn't auto kick on either. I'd like to have it automatically come on.

If I wire it up using the factor wiring and wire it to the sensor, would that work okay?

It should. As long as it's not pulling more power than the original.
