BUYING a Sea-Doo Opinion?????

Hi everyone first post on this forum,but I come on and check it out from time to time,


There is a 2001 Sea-Doo Challenger for sale and was wondering if I should get it or is it worth it?

asking price $1500.00

Catch: missing motor, jet pump, and steering cable

The Boat is in great shape, and so is the trailer.

Just wondering what you guys think should I get it as a project boat? is it worth it also what am I looking at price wise for all those missing things..

How much is a running one??

Seems like a pretty good deal if you can do the work yourself.. I would look on ebay to see what you can find for parts... I would ask a few more questions..

1) Is the other motor running??

2) Are all the mounts electrical etc. there for the missing motor?

3) How about the exhaust setup is that still in the boat..

Depending on what is there or not it could get expensive..

Motor 800.00 - 1000.00 (if you can find a compete setup)
Pump $100-300

Still sounds not to bad.. I saw one on ebay for 6K..
