Broken Choke Cable/Primer Kit

I have a 94 GTX with a broken choke cable. Repair guy tells me he can't get the part as it's discontinued. Is the best (only?) option installing a primer kit?

You can get a cable if you look around... but the easy solution is to install a primer kit.

Thanks Tony. From a few searches it looks like the primer kit is the way to go.
It's been in the shop since Memorial Day (had grey lines replaced, filters, etc). I should get it back in time to have it winterized.
