Chute skiing?...
I don't know how many have seen the new craze. It's chute skiing. I watched it on tv the other day. These parachuters have a smaller than normal parachute and they have a competition where they come down from the sky pretty fast. Then, they use their bare feet to skim across a man made lake. I don't remember the length. But, the point is, they are traveling about 80mph. This one guy, who was the trainer, came down and in his skimming, he wiped out at just over 80 mph.
So, that said, I'd hate to see how many bones were broken from a wipe out on a ski that traveled in excess of 80 mph. I'd hate to see the damage to a human body at a 70 mph wipeout.
I broke my nose on a wake board doing 25 mph, so go figure.:cheers:
